Changing a groupsite name and/or subdomain

Say you started a groupsite, then added members, then the members said they wanted a different name for the groupsite. In other words, things change, and even better, evolve.

Am I the only one? This has happened to me three times already.

For instance, I'd be willing to pay $50 to change the subdomain name, the same way as if the domain name I wanted was taken, then became available a year later. I know that happens all the time and people don't hesitate a minute to switch, which is why people pay for services to let them know when domains become available. I don't see how this is any different.

Hi Neil,

I just took the premium option that allowed me to change the domain name. It worked out really well...all you need to do is make some simple changes and then you can advertise your site as www.xxx.com or something. You will still need to officially register your new domain name with search engines like Yahoo or Google, though. Make sure to use a search engine optimization service for registration. It is a lot easier than doing it yourself.

Anyway, I think your question was if you are allowed to change your domain name, and the answer is "yes."
You can do it by purchasing one of the premium options.
