Formatting of Groupsite emails in Outlook 2007

Hello,

I have recently upgraded to Outlook 2007 (yes, a little behind the times). I have noticed that emails from Groupsite (ie discussion blasts / email blasts / regular updates) are formatted badly in Outlook 2007.

In Outlook 2003, these emails formatted in a consistent manner to the Groupsite website formatting.

In Outlook 2007, emails are formatted with a quite small Times font. Much harder to read, and inconsistent with the look and feel of our Groupsite.

I note that this affects emails from champions as well.

Is this an issue you are aware of? I hope it can be fixed.

Thanks,

nick

Nick - Just FYI...

I am seeing the same thing suddenly in Outlook, but I've been using the same version for quite some time - looks like the email format has changed - now seeing font sizes in some places in the email are WAY bigger than they used to be.  I will take a bunch of screenshots and send on to Groupsite Support (what the original content looked like, what the rendered content in the email looks like, and an example of a recent similar email where the formatting is just fine).

EDIT: and after looking at the source for the 2 emails, the style code is indeed changed from what it used to be.... Have sent snapshots and code to Support.

Hi Nick,

We are aware of the issue you reported and are working on it.  The ticket # assigned to this issue with Email is 1361.  The issue reported by CreeConnect is not related to your issue and is being addressed separately.

Thanks,

Celeste

Hi Celeste,

Any progress on this? Emails from groupsite still look terrible in Outlook 2007 and 2010. This has been open a long time.

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick,

Yes, progress has been made on this ticket (1361).  It is not yet ready for prime time, but big strides have taken place. There are 2 parts to this ticket.  One is the formatting of Emails, the other is the actual content of Recent Activity Emails to include how and what data should roll up.

I do not have a timeframe for release, but even if I did I would not share it because a priority can shift quickly at Groupsite.com.  We have to be able to pivot at a moments notice, so we do not want to get you excited only to pull the rug out from under you.

Sincerely,

Celeste
