how to book a recurring annual event?

I can see how you book a recurring annual event on a specific date (like a birthday) but how do you enter a recurrent event that is say
always the 2nd sunday in May (mother's day)
always the 3rd sunday in June (father's day)
always the 1st Sat in May (Swamp Digs vb tourney)?
I could not figure that one out... could do specific date by year or could do the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th x-day in each month.

If you add an event and then use the drop down menu next to Repeat, you can click on custom and I think that gives all of the option that you will need. For example you can set an annual event for the first Saturday in May of every year.
are you sure? I use that repeat / custom option all the time for years now...
it let me do the first x-day of each month
or the specific date of each year
but not the first sat of may each year... that was not one of the custom options.
If you are sure, I must be doing something wrong or maybe it is not showing up properly on my computer???
