Transplanting
Hi,
Feature Request: As a groupsite level admin, it would be great if I could modify a calendar event by re-locating it into it's appropriate subgroup without modifying the author. Adding a comment to the event "...has been moved to the ___ -channel- ... by admin named ...".
When moving the event, it might be good to send a copy of the comment via private message to each rsvp'd person to let them know it moved.
I suspect discussion threads and blogs would benefit similarly.
As the "reviewing" admin, I'd also benefit if their were some indication which subgroup calendar was the source of an event on my calendar, or at least what was main calendar vs subgroup-calendar events. ... Lacking that, the ability to add color to "my view" of calendar events, so I could flag those I'd already checked, grey those I've decided to skip...
How we came to feel the need...
I run a regional non-profit. Our groupsite assigns a subgroup "channel" to each church that joins our effort. Each church then promotes their own events, preferably in their own subgroup calendar.
Our design relies on the fact that the user's calendar view "rolls up" the subgroup calendars onto a single calendar for all subgroups the user joins.
I'd like the churches to keep their event postings in their own subgroup calendar, but they are accidentally putting them in the group calendar. In some cases they spend a lot of time doing so. I don't want to ask these volunteers to re-do the work, but I don't want to re-do it myself and delete the original mis-posted copy, thus becoming the author of everything on the site.
Thanks for the great tool.

Hi Mike,
Thanks so much for your suggestion. We've opened up ticket #2093 for this feature enhancement.
In the meantime, events can easily be copied over into a new event in the subgroup. What you need to do is copy the code from the HTML Source tab and paste it into the new event in the subgroup. It will copy everything exactly how it was designed. Then, it's just the remaining couple of lines to grab.
We hope this helps!
