Is there a way to make the photo widget that I load on the home page show photos from more than one gallery? It would be great to show random photos from multiple galleries?

Hi, Jeff. The "photo galleries" type of content module is currently designed to spotlight a particular, gallery, only. Here are a few things you may want to consider if you want to feature a variety of photo content in your Groupsite:
* Consider choosing a new gallery, weekly or daily. It's very easy to update your module to choose another gallery at any time.
* Add multiple photo gallery content modules, each pulling from a different gallery, to your Groupsite.
* Create a new gallery (perhaps called "Spotlight"); add 8 photos, each from different galleries, into the new "Spotlight" gallery, which you can then choose to feature. As you add photos to this gallery, they will be featured in the photo module and older ones will drop from view.
Hope this helps.
Yes those are options, but I know it really probably would be hard to add an option for "Latest Photos" and just pull the last 8 photos from our galleries. This would work just like the Blog Post or Site Acitivities. I am shocked that its not an option to start with.
Jeff - I agree that what you suggest is easy - so is putting a flag on the top of a schoolhouse. The hard part is building the foundation of the schoolhouse in the first place so it is sturdy enough not only to hold the flag but to serve its intended purpose of protecting all of those inside and providing a safe, clean, secure place to teach and be taught.
Our team is focused on the foundation that is our platform. We welcome all feedback, including even the smallest cosmetic change suggestions, however, the speed at which we act on even the smallest request, is not a function of the difficulty of the work but rather, the importance it has relative to the structurally significant tasks that take priority.
Thanks for understanding.
Shaun
Thanks for replying Shaun. I have spent alot of time reading these discussion boards and noticed that the overall answer to almost all the requests are is "Thank you for your suggestion, but its not on our radar at the moment, we are working on other things". Believe me, I understand. I have been a developer for both desktop software and web development for more than 12 years. I have been a project manager on many of them. Is there a way you can share a high-level road map for what to expect in 2010? I see lots of very good things about GroupSite, but I am still unsure about what to expect from it.
