Visible Text Different for Discussions and Blogs

Is there a reason why the visible text on a discussion post is half the length of the visible text of a blog post on the main page? If I have a discussion next to a blog, it creates a lot of blank space under the discussion. I'm curious why the amount of visible text wouldn't be the same?

Hmmm...I can't really picture the issue you've described and it also may depend on the Blog and Discussion "type" of modules you are using. Would you be able to send us a screen shot, and your Groupsite name or URL where it's happening?
Here is the page. Even though there is more text in the discussion, it is cut off. If you notice the blog post next to it, the text visible is much longer.
Thanks for taking the time to show us what you are seeing. My suggestion to you for now is to not put Blog Modules next to Discussion modules but rather use a Wide Module for the Blog module since they are currently being created at a non-standard height and put narrow Discussion modules next to any other Narrow module type.
We are discussing alternatives to how this works with the team.
