Taking Links in Post Previews Causes Loss of Form Data!

Overall you have a great site. Here's one problem that is rather
annoying you may want to correct.
If you are typing a LONG message to post and you put a URL link in the
in message, then "preview" the site and select the link to test it,
your website opens the link in the same window as groupsite. When you
use the "back" button on the brower, you get a "Page Expired" error
message and can NOT get back to your LONG message. Essentially it's
been deleted and all your typing is wasted! Very annoying.
You should always open links inside a post when someone previews their
post in A NEW WINDOW.
Thanks.

Thanks for the great feedback, Steve. I agree this does sound like a usability issue and I also wonder if it's browser-specific. I just tested this using Firefox on a PC, and after clicking a link from my "preview" found that my "back" button took me right back to where I wanted to be.
I'll suggest as a best practice and/or workaround:
When testing a link from PREVIEW mode, right click and choose "Open Link in New Window." That will allow you to achieve the preferred PREVIEW method you described.
I've also noted your feedback on Ticket #2014 so we can make this friendlier. What web browser are you using?
Diana, I would concur it's possible it's a browser specific issue. I go back and forth between FireFox and IE7 like 90% of the rest of the world.
I don't recall if I was using IE7 at the time but that's very likely.
Thanks!
