Now That The Doors Has Open

I wanted to post a few things about creating a header for the top of your groupsite page. As indicated by the information within your groupsite's customization page:

Your custom header graphic should be exactly 950 pixels wide and 122 pixels high. To overlap the main menu background strip with your header graphic, increase its height to 146 pixels (instead of 122 pixels).

So how does one create a header for the top of ones page?.. well first you would need an image that would fit the measured requirements or the 950 x 122/146 rule.

With he use of sites like Photobucket, Flickr and Picnik you would automatically upload an image directly onto their server thus allowing you to edit, crop and resize the image. In this case I have elected to use the "Picnik's" service, knowing that its a free and "non login" requirement.

This will allow me to upload the image, crop and re-size to suit the headers size requirements without creating an account and all done from your web browser.

After selecting  two images that I'm gladly allowing anyone to have as their header's image, I took the time to selected the best possible view point within the 950 x 146 range and posted these images below for you.

Simply right click the image, save to file or my docs folder, then
enter the customization screen that allows you to upload an image for
your header. Upload then preview. This process will only take approx. 2
mins to complete.

You'll have a new header in no time and I'm sure with door now wide
open for customizations.. We will see more unique pages and headers in
the months to come.
