Create An HTML (Active) "Name" Of Group Slot

At many other networks.. they allow a few of their Profile slots and group name slots to become an active HTML or "image reference" instead of the typical "text" format.
As Seen Here:
If and when is this an plausible option for the Groupsite?.. I personally would like to have this as an active option of my page, thus removing the groups name, replacing it with a .jpg or image of my choice by simply entering in the image's location via the HTML {img src} code.

I think that is a great suggestion. We have a surprise coming next week that will resolve this issue for you.
Stay tuned :-) I'll keep you posted.
That is a good suggestion. We will have more control over he header if we could able to use HTML. However, option to enter title should also be kept as search engines usually index titles than images.
Good news. Premium branding is no longer a pay-for premium feature. It is now a free feature included with all Groupsites. If you'd like to brand your Groupsite, you now have full ability to adjust all color options and upload your own header and background graphics. This can be done from the appearance and branding section of the Manager tab within any Groupsite.
Post Revised..
After taking a quick glance at what options are available to me with the new groupsite.. I wanted to alter some settings as "not" to allow for forums, file sharing etc.. I'll have to explore this a bit more.
So The Fat Lady Hasn't Sung Her Last Tune.. Yet..
P.S.

Header fits great.. Will Continue to explore.
UpDate:
Although the over all effect was a success with the addition of more options to the page, I'm finding it hard to achieve what I'm looking for. Even thou I have created social networks for more then 25 years.. I have never had any success with any ideas or no "plausible" connections where ever made.
In light of your recent updated and new options, I wanted to convert the Groupsite page into more of a "Solo" effort. By simply allowing anyone visiting to view the "main" page and be able to read the full length blog instead of just the "Statistics" of what was posted there moments ago.
Sure I know this is allot to ask of a social network that thrives on the belief that "we are a groupsite" and has made the necessary adjustments to this effect.
Having said this.. is it possible to close the Discussions, file sharing, etc (not seen on the main page) and intern allow for a full view of the days blog or blogs and any images associated with them.
Our Gorman,
Regarding you want "anyone visiting to view the 'main' page and be able to read the full length blog instead of just the 'Statistics' of what was posted there moments ago." - it sounds like you may want to remove the Recent Activity Module. Or, perhaps your using the "most recent" Group Blog type of module - which gives primarily Blog Post titles (hyperlinked) to the most recent 2, 4 or 6 posts.
While we don't have a full-page sized content module, it may to know that you can:
- Delete any unwanted modules - including the Recent Activity Module
- Customize your Summary page to focus on what you want. For instance, delete the standard Welcome Module and customize the area with text, buttons or images, linked to your Blog or specific posts.
- Add one or more wide "Group Blog" type of content modules, selecting the "featured post" view.
Also, if I've misunderstood and you instead want to close the Discussion, files cabinet, etc. features entirely -- you are correct that Groupsites are an integrated social collaboration syste. You can customize them to a large extent, but the core features (and how you navigate to them) remains consistent from Groupsite to Groupsite.
Hope this helps.
