Is there a way to stop all the profile information gathering. Our members will not care to add all that extra information to get to the 100% level.. It would be better if not all of that information is needed.

Hi, Jeff.
Sounds like you're referring to the "Profile Completeness Meter." It may help to understand its purpose:
While some users will jump right in and be a group's top contributor, many will not. Some people take longer to get comfortable and/or engaged with the group, although they may participate more over time. We call this "progressive engagement."
The Profile Completeness Meter reminds users that there is an easy next step to getting more involved with the group. For many, this reminder (or the incentive to reach 100%) is an easy way to get started -- and become more interested and/or comfortable using a Groupsite.
Thank you for your reply and yes I am talking about the Completeness Meter. I know you and your staff are building features that will hopefully be good for the majority of groups, but then there are groups that are more simple and compact and don't care to dump all their information in about school history. For the group I am working on, no one could care less about interests, schools, previous jobs, etc. Its more of a meeting and resource type of group to get information about the topic at hand, check for upcoming meetings, download files, etc. It would be nice to give us the option of disabling this in the future.
Jeff -- we always appreciate the feedback and thanks for sharing in this forum. It always helps to learn more about how our customers are using Groupsites. This may be something we consider in the future, although not anytime soon.
Jeff raised a good point. This will give membes a real feel of SaaS as if they are browsing a Site which has grouping capabilities rather than a using a LinkedIn or Yahoo Group.
