Remove Premium Feature Invitation

Hey:
We have the full pro account with all features enabled. Yet, on each site, on the right under the profile, there is an invitation to "Enhance this Groupsite by adding Premium Features".
This is going to confuse the hack out of my managers (we have lots of sites with lots of non-technical managers.
Any chance this can be eliminated?
Thx,
Sam

I have voiced this same issue. I would love to see this removed for Pro users. It takes up valuable real estate and can be quite confusing. I would also like to see the Profile Completeness box removed from Pro accounts, or at least have it go away when the person's profile is complete. I don't need to know that my profile is 100% complete;-) Thanks. Have a great holiday weekend.
Right back at your Brian!
The profile completeness box is a huge waste of space. I don't even want my users (high school students) to use that feature - yet it is front and center.
Thx,
Sam
Here's another thing that needs to be removed:
The solicitation to upgrade the site's security to 128-bit SSL. I REALLY don't want my site managers to do this for a variety of reasons - but mostly b/c my user base is behind a proxy server and won't have their computers set up for https.
My understanding is once you upgrade to SSL you can't go back - is this correct? If so, I'd hate to see one of my too-curious-for-their-own-good managers mess their whole site up and have to start over.
I'm almost tempted to move this out of this forum b/c this is a big deal. I'll see what kind of response I get here.
Here's another thing that will confuse my users:
In the file cabinet it says:
File Cabinet
(
0% used
of 3 GB limit |
Upgrade Now!
)
Why is there a link to upgrade when we already have the 3 GBs? Clearly all that is need is an if/else here in the code.
btw - I don't mean to come off cranky in this thread - love groupsites.com overall. Just trying to help something great get even better.
I'm chiming in, too - I've mentioned most of these same items myself. Improving these things can indeed only make something great even better, as Sam states.
Hi, Sam. We agree - the upgrade messages should be removed in Groupsite Pro accounts (whether it's for storage space or Enhanced Security). We do have a ticket open to make this change in the future (#1661).
Regarding the Profile Completeness Meter -- we love the idea that this should disappear once the user has reached 100% and intend to make that change (#1437). Until a user reaches 100%, however, the meter does stay front and center because it's a valuable tool in progressive engagement. (Groupsites are designed to encourage people to continue sharing information over time so members can develop collaborative relationships and trust and then take action).
Sam, in your case, if you aren't using the Networking features you might need more than just the Profile Completeness Meter to go away. We would like to see managers have more flexibility and control over Groupsite features, while keeping navigation clean and easy for users no matter what Groupsite they're in -- and I expect Groupsites will evolve in that direction over time.
In the same token, you might find that the user profiles and other Networking features might be useful to your students. (You can remove the "relationship status" questions in the Social Profile.)
Lastly, regarding the Enhanced Security feature -- yes, absolutely, that feature can be enabled or disabled at any time. This is done through the MANAGER > Upgrade Groupsite page. If you should have any trouble, just let us know and we can help.
Hope this helps!
