Discussion Topic Link to Last Post...

I know this has been brought up before (last year), so I'm not sure if it's still in the works or if there's already a preference option or solution. When you click a Topic link (on Discussion Forums), it would be great if the link would open up at last post instead of first at top. Here's several reasons why this might be the best "default" preference, or if no preference option, it would still be a great default behavior.

1. Most people who are "watching" (or following) a topic are already familiar with the main post and the subsequent replies, so they want to get right down to the latest post which they can quickly read and reply to.

2. The top of all Topic post pages also contains the original post text, so it's on every page already for quick, convenient access in case it needs to be reviewed and/or re-read again, etc.

3. Currently it's time consuming to have to scroll down to bottom of the topic page and then decide which of the other pages to click. People that want to go to the end of the topic need to click at least another page (page 3 of 3 or page 4 of 4, etc.) and wait for it to load (again) and then scroll down (again) to the bottom. This is time consuming and a bit frustrating if you're excited about the reading the latest topic post.

4. All other Forums I've frequented use the same "skip to" feature so when you click the topic it goes right down to the last post. This seems to be a very convenient, standard function for most discussion forums.
