Today I noticed several "Bounced Addresses" reports on my "Manage Members" page. At least one person wrote back after I sent them a test email through the forum PM (private mail). It appears these reports are "false positives". Please check my account reports and also look for an email I sent to Shaun and tech support.

Thanks... I see the last of the two addresses have been cleared up now!
I'm curious though, does CollectiveX send out email "probes" every few days or weeks? Or do bouncing addresses only occur when members are sent opt-in topic notifications or when they are being contacted by other members via PMs?
If you don't mind, maybe you can PM me the answers!

Michael - We do not send email "probes". Bouncing status can happen for lots of reasons. "Hard" bounces result from email addresses that are no longer in use whereas "Soft" bounces can occur for lots of reasons including the specific ISP they are using to deliver mail might be having temporary server issues.
