Would be great to see some “Marketing Tools for Group Managers” sometime in the future. I am probably in an industry that will embrace simple web-based programs.

I've been using "Invite a Friend" tools for years and they have been a steady producer for me. Granted, with the increase in spam, it's effectiveness has diminished a bit... but it's still a good word-of-mouth tool.
My best community growth tool the last 3 years has been an email an article to a friend.
