Use as a business site... take down more social aspects?

Hello, I'm managing a site that is all adults in professional business capacities. It's somewhat offensive to ask these people their age for confirmation, and further that I can reveal what people answered by doing an export of the member profiles.
Is there any way to suppress the request for this and other social information beyond just the relationship status?
Thanks, Andrew

How do I change the File Cabinet 'default folder' when uploading docs to the discussion forum? | 2 | 0 | 1817 |
Andrew,
This seems like a valid point to me.
There is not today a way to suppress the request for a year of birth. However, this information is not visible from a member's profile unless the member decides to change the default setting from "hide" to "show;" and, the the ability to export member data is limited to Groupsite managers. (Original thought being that demographic data would be useful to a manager trying to better understand, engage and make available relevant content for his/her group).
I will take this issue back to our team to consider.
