Who just left....and why?

I think it's a good idea to add the ability for managers to track this.

We didn't want it in the recent activity log, because then everyone can see it.

I'll keep this in mind to find a way to track this information for managers.

By the way I discovered who had left the group by accident. She had recently joined and I clicked on her name that was listed in "recent activity" and I was sent to the first page of the members tab. It would have been ideal to have gone to a page that looked like her member page, indicated that she left and when she did so, and also showed how she was referred to and why she left. The "why she left" could be a screen you go to after clicking "Remove me from this group" which would list reasons why that the user could select. You could steal the list of reasons to display from here

Sure, I think exit polls would be a great idea.

Although we'd probably be better off letting group managers customize this feature then provide a hard-coded list of questions. We have very many different types of groups on CollectiveX, and they don't all have the same goals.

By the way, I still think that viewing profiles of members who are no longer members, if it's implemented, should be a manager only feature. We need to respect the user's privacy, while at the same time balancing it with the rights of group managers to know what's going on in their groups.

I wouldn't mind having just some way to find out who left.

I'd put a link under Manager: Members, maybe on the right above the word 'Remove', that says, 'Removed', which brings up a list of former members and whether they were deleted or requested.
