Community/Group Activity Tracking and Top 10 List

Right now, it's hard to gadge the activity going on in our communities. It would be great for the manager to be able to track/monitor the activity.

- How many private messages each member sent
- How many invites each member sent out
- How many invites converted to members

I would also love the opportunity to have a TOP 10 List. Allow the managers to select what category to feature on the site.

- Top 10 REFERERS (or Top 10 Networkers)
- Top 10 Discussion board posters
- Top 10 Most Private Messages Received (from unique ip addresses)

I'd like to create a habit for our members to drop their contacts into our groupsite after they get litered with business cards at a networking event. I think that can be acheived by considering them TOP NETWORKERS and recognizing them on the site. People LOVE recognition... babies cry for it, and grown men die for it!

Food for thought!

LOL @ _"People LOVE recognition… babies cry for it, and grown men die for it!"_ I agree totally. These are great suggestions. We will certainly keep them in mind. I assure you that some of them will be added in the future. Keep the suggestions coming.

i got the feeling from an earlier post by Clarence that statistics would be a premium feature down the track. I like the top10 concepts. We have a growing group but lots of inactive members. Some kind of social rewards for those who are getting involved (even just logging in!!) would be great.

I agree with this. Good feature

I know this is an old post but this is really needed. I didn't know this feature was requested back in 2007??? wow...how much longer will it be? Just curious.

Jewell,

Thanks for reviving this thread. Some of the features mentioned were rolled into premium statistics. We had discussed the concept of a "Group Engagement Index" that would roll what users do into a point system (weighted by group managers) that managers could use to reward active users. We still like the idea of having such a feature. However, it doesn't take priority over adding:

Ecommerce

Group Chat

Wiki

Mobile Support

Do you like the idea of having those features first? :-)

Hi Clarence,

Thank you for your response. These features may take priority for some your subscribers, but honestly, I would love to have the point system, first (except for Mobile Support).

Thinking more about it, Ecomerce and the point system might compliment each other. If both features were implemented, members could redeem their points for products/gift cards, etc. Just a thought. If you're interested, I have some documentation that may help guide you with this point system feature.

Thank you,

~Jewell

Speaking of which, is it just me or has it been a while since groupsites gave managers a sense of what features are coming and how those features might operate?

I'd love to know when the wiki and group chat functionality is coming. I really need this functionality asap.

Cheers,

Thembi

Hi Thembi,

We are currently working on some Enterprise features that will take us through the fourth quarter 2010.  We will be shifting to more " social" features during the first quarter 2011.

Sincerely,

Celeste

Dear Celeste,

Thank you for your reply. I'm working on a fairly tight framework with a project using the site and need to know more precisely when you think you will have the wiki and the live chat up. Could you please confirm as soon as possible?

Thanks,

Thembi

Hi Thembi,

At this time, I am unable to narrow than timeframe for shifting to more social features any tighter than first quarter 2011Frown .  I am sorry that I could not be more helpful.

Sincerely,
