Option to choose topics form a desired forum

At the summery page in the moduls we have the options to choose Discusions and view Most Recent, New&Notable, Most Popular and to feature a topic.
How about to have an option to feature a forum (discussion forum category) and to be able to show 5,10,20 topics from it?
For example for Champions group site: to feature the topics form "Announcements" discusion forum.
