I would like to see a common referral or lead board. You would be able to drop in an item or contact information for follow up - it would be nice to link this to members. So it would be posted like a discussion but perhaps it could be sent out to particular members. I would also like the ability to post a follow up and a close statistic.

I understand what you are describing in concept, but I can't quite visualize it. Can you provide a little more detail or provide a link to another website that has a lead board.

This is like "business opportunities" for my group. A member sees an opportunity, uploads and classifies it, alerts select members who are subscribed to tags used to classify the opportunity, and places the opportunity in a location within the group where it can be seen.
I guess this is an advanced discussion group feature - I imagine it will be easier when the browser tools are built. For example I see a great opportunity, select it, hit the CollectiveX bookmark, label it, select who it should be sent to and submit it. It then resides in the discussion forums but the right people are notified straight away.
