Freedom of choice, anyone?
I'd love to see managers able to get rid of features that are useless on their groupsites. The "Members Objectives" and "Key Connections' may be OK for some, but I find rather juvenille on an adult professional group. Key Connections are a fancy way of "name dropping", and I don't care what BIG wig you may know. Its nice that everyone has goals, I do not advertise mine. It is my responsibility to see that I meet them or not. These features don't need to be removed for everyone, just give an option, please!
I'd be willing to wager that a lot of managers would love to be able to have the power and the freedom of choice to create, design, and CONTROL features they are and are NOT on their sites. Currently I pay money for certain features. I love to be able to create, move and remove tabs. That would be lovely. But guess people in hell want ice water.
I did create my own links page without using any widget service. We write articles and columns pertaining to our profession. They are not blogs or personal. Blogs get old seconds after they are published to the web. Who is interested in reading someone's stale ramblings? Discussions do not do it all. That is why managers need the abilty to create and add items of interest to their groups. As well as "dump" or rid stuff that is no value to the group. I'd say the the "Members Objectives" and Key Connections" features that are included in evevyone profiles are what I'd term "Hole-in-the-head" features or useless. I came here from MSN, where I had absolute power in everything. Collective X has it advantages, and they doo an excellent job. Id merely like to have more CONTROL over what is ans is NOT put on the groupsite, especially those that pay money for the right. Am I alone in this, or do others agree? Thanks for listening.

I'm also a premium member and I wold love to be able to get rid of "member objectives" and "key connections" as well. They don't serve the web communities I run on CX at all, and in fact, they're a little confusing to members.
Thanks Brian for your support, now getting the powers that be to listen. Joe? Shaun?
This is a feature that is forthcoming. I don't have an official date, but expect to see it in the not too distant future.
Thanks for the good news!
I agree that it will be a welcome feature.
