File Cabinet: Main folders show 0 contents if subfolders are used

I've found lately that several users are confused by the File Cabinet.
I'll often create a master folder for a category of files, then several subfolders that have the actual contents.
WHen I do this, the master folder shows contents as 0/empty, despite the fact that there are subfolders within. User must click on the "+" in the left column file tree to see any nested subfolders.
Can the list of contents for a particular folder also include any nested subfolders? It would save me a few confused users.
Thx.

Rob - I agree - this is very confusing. I have submitted a change request to remedy this so that the top level folder shows the count for all underlying files.
