Everyone knows the Jacksonville Jaguars football team. There
is another team in Jacksonville on game days that’s just as important to the
Jaguars’ success as the players: the 3,000+ stadium workers that attend to
guests. Ticket takers, Ushers, Security, Concessions Workers and
more. Together, this hard-working team makes the gameday experience possible
for 14 –15 stadium events each year.
Bill Prescott, CFO & SVP of Stadium Operations,
Jacksonville Jaguars shares how they use a Groupsite to communicate and build a
stronger sense of community:
“We have 14-15 events each year which is the only time our
gameday staff comes together. When it’s not gameday, our stadium workers all go
back to the other jobs they have. We saw a Groupsite as an opportunity to
create a way for these important people to stay in touch with us and with each
other beyond the events of gameday.
We count on this team and wanted to instill a strong sense
of community. Our Groupsite is a
place where members can interact with each other 365 days a year. It gives our
workers a way to interact with each other while allowing us to communicate our
culture of success and focus on providing great customer service.
Our This One’s On Us
program allows each of our team members to make a fan’s day by getting them
involved in special activities, such as raising and lowering the extra-point
net as well as other unique gameday experiences. Our Groupsite allows them to
share their experience of making the fan’s day, and hearing from the fan’s on
how the this program made their gameday. We wanted to extend that same kind of
service and communication towards each other – allowing our team to get
involved - and now we can through our Groupsite.
Our Groupsite has been a tremendous tool for us so far this
season. We look forward to the important role it will play in helping us stay
connected in meaningful ways during the off-season, as well.”
